Kristie Karroum, RN, FNP-C, IBCLC


Kristie is the founder and primary lactation consultant of Nurture Lactation Support. She is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), Registered Nurse (RN), Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and mother of two wonderful children.

Experience and Qualifications

Kristie has been an advocate of breastfeeding for over 15 years. Her experience began in 2002 while supporting families in NICU and childbirth center settings as a Registered Nurse. Her work has included consultations both in the hospital, clinic and home environments, leading prenatal and postpartum education classes, development of policies and programs in support of breastfeeding as well as training for hospital nursing staff and education outreach to pediatric clinic nursing staff. As a Nurse Practitioner she has also worked with families in the primary care and pediatric settings. She currently serves as faculty at Idaho State University, teaching Maternal Family and Pediatric Nursing, maintaining active involvement in education and clinical practice.
